Description This unit will include lessons on the Pledge of Allegiance,
Betsy Ross and the American Flag. Students will study the
meaning of the Pledge, as well as, the importance of the
American Flag. In doing so, this unit will cover social
studies, language arts, and math skills at the third grade
level. Student activities will include a scavenger hunt,
cooking lesson, use of digital camera and Internet searches.
