Description This unit will foster an greater awareness of the concept
of patriotism. Through activities that involve the
American flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Star
Spangled Banner, students will gain a sense of citizenship.
They will discover the origin of Veteran's Day and develop
an appreciation for American veterans... men and women who
contributed wherever they were needed in wartime.
