Math, Science and Engineering

The EdVenture Group, in partnership with the West Virginia University College of Engineering and Mineral Resources has developed a new tool for math and science teachers. TIME Kits, Tools for Integrating Math and Engineering are standards based curriculum units that integrate a real-world engineering problem into the math and science curriculum.

These units were developed by West Virginia teachers and are aligned to the National and WV Content Standards and Objectives (CSO) for math, science and technology. The units are designed to engage students in a hands-on learning environment and expose them to 21st Century engineering problems. The goal of National Science Foundation and Claude Worthington Benedum Foundationthis project is to recruit, retain, and place the next generation of Engineers, Scientists, and Computer Scientists from Appalachia in these career fields. The project is funded by the National Science Foundation and the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation.
